Developed as part of the groundbreaking Liverpool Housing Partnership, Leighton Dene sees 34 modern homes on a high visibility site in Fazakerley.
This £4.6 million project by Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has delivered desirable family homes for affordable rent on a neglected brownfield site – land that once hosted a run-down nursing home and lain vacant for a number of years.
Liverpool City Council released the plot to the award-winning Liverpool Housing Partnership (LHP), an innovative consortium model (of which LMH is a member) that sees receipts from land sales to Redrow Homes ring-fenced and reinvested into affordable housing.
Leighton Dene is the fourth site LMH has completed under the LHP and follows on from recent completions at Hewitson Road, Tetlow Street and Everton Road (34 new affordable rent homes total).
Designed by architects Bowker Sadler and delivered with the main contractor Willmott Partnership Homes, the scheme comprises 17 two-bedroom and 5 three-bedroom houses, as well as 9 one-bed and 3 two-bed apartments.
The apartments, terraced and semi-detached homes benefit from off-road parking and green spaces.
Energy efficient boilers, central heating systems, double glazed windows and doors are lowering fuel bills for tenants, while high quality modern kitchens and bathrooms in every property further add to the living experience.
All properties have been fully let.
