JV North members have been praised for their performance in the HCA Affordable Homes Programme for the 2013/14 financial year after working to deliver over 900 homes.
The consortium that comprises of 10 housing associations, nine of which are in the North West, completed some 538 new homes during the last financial year and members also started on-site to build a further 369 properties.
Funding for the work comes from a £20m HCA grant from the 2011/15 Affordable Homes Programme coupled with £84 million of investment from JV North members.
JV North Chairman, Nigel Wilson, who is also Chief Executive of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, said: “The consortium has maximised the opportunity of delivering much-needed, high quality homes through the HCA’s 2011/15 Affordable Homes Programme to make a huge difference to communities across the North West.
“The number of schemes we have managed to get started and completed this year is testimony to the hunger of our members to improve housing in their towns and cities.
“We have submitted our bid for the 2015/18 programme and believe our track record puts us in a great position to build even more homes with the HCA in the years ahead.”
