Latest figures from JV North show it invested over £100m in its development programme in the 2018/19 financial year.
The funding – by members with grant support from Homes England – was used to start building 613 new homes as part of the final year of the 2015/18 Affordable Homes Programme and the ongoing 2016/21 Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme.
A total of 758 homes were completed during the year.
JV North Chairman, Wayne Gales, who is also Chief Executive of Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: “The figures underline the determination and urgency with which members are addressing the growing demand for affordable housing in our communities.
“The need to identify land, design schemes and build homes has never been more important as waiting lists continue to grow.
“Completing over 750 homes in the year is a great success story for tenants who now have modern, energy efficient, warm homes to enjoy.
“That said, we must continue building at pace and have a large programme to deliver by 2021 and are already planning for delivery beyond this date.”
JV North is building over 4,760 homes in the 2016/21 Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme with members investing £452m, supported by Homes England grant of £138.9m.
