Social housing consortium JV North is holding a consultation event for contractors on its £180m home building framework.
The session is being run by the Saffer Cooper Consultancy, which manages JV North’s development programme for members and liaises with Homes England on the consortium’s behalf.
The aim is to update contractors of JV North’s home building work and discuss how to maximise opportunities in the framework that runs from 2017 to June 2021.
It will also allow information to be shared and insight offered regarding the general marketplace in which members and contractors operate.
Director of Saffer Cooper Consultancy, Sean Stafford, said: “We are approximately halfway through the four-year framework so it is the perfect opportunity to meet with contractors and review progress of what is a very important development programme.
“Members have committed to deliver over 4,760 homes in the 2016/21 Shared Ownership Affordable Homes Programme to help address the housing shortage in the North West.
“This is a significant number with a value of two-thirds of a billion pounds and its success relies heavily on the performance of contractors building the properties.
“We want to continue the open dialogue we have enjoyed with them so the framework can run at its best from both a JV North member’s perspective but also a contractor’s too.
“Working together is going to be vital and we look forward to welcoming contractors so we can further improve our partnership.”
The event is taking place at Saffer Copper Consultancy’s office [pictured] in Ashton Old Baths, Ashton-under-Lyne at 12.30pm on March 18.
